I'm all for instant gratification!
Unless something much better is just around the corner (like the Nexus 7 2013 that Europe gets in less than two weeks, so I wait instead of buying another tablet), there's little point in waiting. There are new devices every year anyway, so why waste months of enjoyment? Especially if it's something that improves your QoL right away (like the frontlight will).
