That's just one example but I have talked to many famous authors and they are just as lovely as their books. I only had a couple negative experiences with a few authors but almost all of them have been positive experiences.
I asked Sarah Mayberry once to consider writing a book for a secondary character who seemed rather irredeemable and she said I wasn't the first to ask her that and now she is considering it. If she ever does I'll be tickled pink knowing I had a rather small part in the book.

I've yet to have a negative experience with an author via social media. I think it would turn me off to ever reading an author's book again!
