So it's NOT just me! I always interpreted this as an attempt on my life - they usually land on my ear or get tangled in my hair!

One actually managed to land on a lens of my glasses -- talk about horror! If I took the glasses off, I couldn't see the spider. If I left them on, I did see the spider! A true Faustian dilemma!
