@DoctorOhh: unfortunately, I had to remove the centering code as it was causing problems when there are exactly a screen full of items to be displayed.
My method was a bit of a hack to work around the lack of this ability in Qt, so I guess it should not be too surprising that it caused issues.
You will just have to live with the off center grid.
