Remember the Apple vs. Samsung patent $1bn case? Samsung claimed the jury foreman in the case was biased (he did not reveal to the court that he was bankrupted following a lawsuit against Seagate, in which Samsung is now a shareholder), which Apple, of course, dismissed as a "convoluted theory".
Looking at some of the theories spread by media these days makes me wonder... convoluted theories or what?
