Remember, bigger screen doesn't mean more text. Generally with a bigger screen you will still have the same amount of words per line to have a comfortable reading experience. Yes, the font will be bigger with the same wpl count than on a 6inch screen. But, why do I need a heavier device with much less battery life to sit on my sofa and read?
