I hope you keep the bookshelves! Here are some thoughts; just thinking out loud (not requests):

I think it's great you are willing to give users options for shelf colors. How about a white wash wood version ... and a cherry wood version as ducks suggested? Together with the darker gray and your original wood version, that should cover just about everyone's tastes.

If you ever do go to a plain background, would you ever consider giving users the choice to use their own custom wallpaper as the background?

These options might serve as additional selling points for CC. Showing a variety of color/design options on the product's page on Google Play might draw in more buyers.

You probably don't want to go too crazy and, of course, if all these options just add to the instability of the app, it wouldn't be worth it. But I have always been a big fan of GUI options in apps and will purchase the one that gives more choices (all other factors being roughly equal, of course).
