There are a couple of utilities here that can help you convert CBR/CBZ to PDF, formatted specifically to iLiad size. There was also a port of a CBZ reader to the iLiad, though it used Java and I don't know if it still works (it was several firmware revisions ago). Personally, I prefer to convert my manga before loading them on the iLiad, as I have a 4Gb CF card and I couldn't store all the manga I own in paper on my iLiad in full CBZ format. I use manga2pdf to process most of the cbz files in batch, then clean up any that didn't convert with JE-Comics Converter. Then I open the resulting PDF files in Acrobat 7 Pro and use the "Reduce File Size..." command. I get nice small files (usually 12-14Mb each), so I can fit plenty on my CF card, and legibility seems to be fine so far. Both manga2pdf and JE-Comics Converter can split double-page spreads, too.
