The long paragraph bug (TLPB) It is also present in the Access renderer when reading kepubs. Personally, I don't read kepubs very often, so I can't tell if it happens more frequently with regular epubs.
As it happens with both epubs and kepubs the source of TLPB could be not the Access or Adobe renderer itself, but (one of) Kobos host progam(s).

If you use metazoa patch for 2.8.1. and set all patch options to "no" but only the line height option to "yes" and replace the default settings to very small (start < 1) you'll notice that TLPB will occur much often.
