Hello y'all! I've got a Kindle Touch and I'm having issues with ebooks displaying in the book browser.
The books (I've tried with multiple files) are all .mobi files, generated from HTML files using
kindlegen. After copying the ebook (and ensuring that the file is actually on the Kindle) the ebooks don't appear. At first I figured that it must be stuck indexing all the files on the device, but I've left it idle for about 20 minutes with no results.
Here's the real head-scratcher: if I instead copy an .azw3 file (Calibre informs me that they are of KF8 format), the book appears almost instantaneously on the home screen. Weird, huh?
Is it because of the extension that the Kindle indexes it first?
I could probably just change the extension to 'azw', but that seems like a temporary solution, and this issue's really annoying me.
If anyone has any suggestions for how to fix this, I'd really appreciate it.
