The screenshots in the original post show pretty much everything there is to see of the new library views.

Compared to the previous firmware:

The covers are smaller in both list view and cover view. In cover view this means 12 covers per page instead of 6.

The font sizes are larger for the book title, which unfortunately means that some titles no longer fit and have to be truncated.

The series information is no longer in a different shade of grey, but is capitalised instead.

The menu button at the left of each book has gone, the book menu is now activated by a long press. Unfortunately the space saved is now taken up by the file type and read status, so there is actually less room for title and author information than before.


I like the new cover view and the idea of replacing menu buttons with a long press action, but would prefer the space saved to be used either for more book information or more books per page, instead of just larger fonts.
