iOS for the Apple ecosystem and the superior commercial software support. Commercial game publishers, especially, embrace iOS and seem more hesitant about Android, so that's where it's at for mobile gaming right now.

I also like the "stability" (price, specs, backwards compatibility) of the hardware. When I bought the iPad 2 over two years ago, the top Android tablet was the XOOM, which is now pretty outdated compared to the stop very usable iPad 2, for example (also in terms of support and resell value).

Having used Linux and BSD for years in the past, the iOS preferences is peculiarly in contrast to my general attraction to open systems. I may get an Android tablet eventually (been on my mind for a while), but I really do enjoy the iOS experience on both the user and professional level.
