Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia sounds right up this alley [although very light on the romance]. I have the whole series but have only read the first so far, but loved it. Strong family ties while discovering powers, etc.
(The 'Lux' series by Jennifer L. Armentrout would fit the bill as well [more "YA-innocent romance"]. Heavier romance with paranormal, "Mad World" by Kristine Zolendz.)
