As said before, the blue light just goes on for 8 secs, then back off.

Re the frozen screen, it's stuck displaying the page of the book I was reading. There are no funny lines to indicate some sort of breakage. The quality is as per normal, though the background grey is perhaps a fraction darker than usual.
Hardware factory reset for Glo and Aura HD.

Step 1: Hold the power switch in the off position for 15 to 20 seconds. This is to ensure that it is turned off. Longer doesn't hurt.

Step 2: Release the power switch.

Step 3: Press the light switch and hold it until step 5.

Step 4: Slide the power switch until the LED turns on and release it.

Step 5: Wait until the LED starts rapidly flashing (discoing) and release the light switch.

Hopefully, your device display will show that it is now doing a factory restore.

An alternative is to replace step 4 with:

Step 4a: Press the pinhole reset switch until the LED turns on and release it.

For the Touch, replace the light switch with the home switch.

Good luck!

Regards,
David
