This bug has been getting on my nerves for a long time now. In the book I was recently reading, several chapters started with a blank page (just the chapter number at the top) because the paragraph was too long for the page. It was also common to have half-pages of text, giving the impression that the chapter was about to end, only for it to continue on the next page.

One of the more annoying aspects of the bug is that I have no idea why anyone would need a paragraph to start on a new page if it won't fit on the current one. To the best of my knowledge this is not replicated in print books (I have never had a print book start a chapter with a blank page). And I have never forgotten what I have just read in the half-second it takes to turn the page.
