Hum, I thought I could provide some light on whether this happens with original kepubs from Kobo, but for some reason when I went into the store, they are no longer marked as bought and re-downloadable! I would have to re-purchase them. So that is a separate issue I have to work out with Kobo support, sorry I can't help with that, at least not yet.
FWIW, I am on a Glo, so it's not just Auras.
Lastly, I am curious: You say you have been able to reproduce the problem, but that you will be unable to do something about it until Kobo issues another FW. Is it something that's possible to explain to a layman with no programming experience? :-)
