I have been using Calibre with a Sony T2 for quite some time but I now want to also use a Kobo Aura.

I do not need to synchronize the two, even if that is possible.

But I do want to have access to the same books on both machines.

Am I correct in thinking that I must create a separate library for the Kobo? The epub output options in the existing library are set for the Sony (author sort, metadata etc)

That would mean I should set up a new catalog with whatever options I need for the Kobo epub output, right?

If I do have to start a second library does that mean that I will have to convert all of the sony epub files to kobo epub?

I guess I could just go ahead and start messing around but I'd like to spare myself from the inevitable disaster.
