I really do hope they fix it for you Kobo users. I use the Android app. I own Kindles so I don't need to directly download to my ereader. I can open the copy app and email the book to my Kindle using the app from my phone or tablet.
Added: Just have to say Copy speeds are improving! I am getting close to 1mbps upload now instead 460kbps.
