A lot of years ago, when I wasn't as obsessive about backups, I had a hard-drive crash. That crash caused the loss of hundreds of megabytes of photographs. I now backup my systems religiously. *Anybody* who thinks their hard-drive is going to last forever is eventually in for a sad suprise.
