bonus for verifying an .edu address ???

I'm late to this party, I think, but I just signed up today, and installed the app, and verified my email, and then when I checked my bonuses, I had TWO 5 GB bonuses - the standard one for having used a referral link, and another for having "verified an .edu email address". I haven't seen any mention of this .edu bonus before.

I use an alumni.mycollege.edu email address as my personal email address, and apparently that got me some extra space. It isn't even a regular academic mycollege.edu address, it's an alumni.mycollege.edu address through the alumni association, but I still got the bonus.

So then I thought "a-ha" - if one .edu address gets a bonus, perhaps a second one will get a second bonus. So, since I work at the college I'm an alumna of, I tried my academic mycollege.edu address, and verified that, but I didn't get a second bonus. Bummer, but not unexpected.

Anyway, I don't know if this will work for other folks who might be able to add an .edu address as a second address - maybe someone who has one can try it and see if it works.
