I'm sorry, but I must respectfully disagree with you. The fact that it's technically possible to install retail firmware on a demo Kindle does not mean that it's legal to do do.

I've had my say. I'll bow out of the discussion at this point. But I would strongly recommend that the OP asks Amazon whether reflashing a demo device falls within the terms of the Kindle licence agreement.
