They do have a mobile version, I have it on my phone, and it does work to download the epub, just a bit differently than SugarSync does.
When I download on Copy through the phone, it gives a message that no preview is available, I select download and it asks me where I want to save the file, I select the directory and it works that way.
On SugarSync though, as soon as I click on an epub, it asks what application I want to use to view the file, I select Aldiko, and it downloads automatically and the Aldiko app opens up with the book on the shelf ready to be opened to read.
The process being somewhat different is probably where it hangs on the Kobo. I'm perfectly happy using SugarSync for just my library then and Copy for all else, since 6GB at SugarSync is more than enough for my ebooks. It would be nice to get it to work with Copy also though.
