In case you weren't aware, the best place (at least that I've ever come across) for information/help on playing with Android is over at xda-developers.
(yes originally it was simply for HTC/XDA (XDA was just HTC rebadged by O2) phones but it's been branching out for ages and covers so much (mainly phone related)
They managed to get it onto the HTC Diamond (which was a windows phone) I tried it, completely unusable due to the lag, but they managed it. Also onto several other windows phones.
You might also be able to get help from Modaco and/or CyanogenMod team.
Just in case that is of any help ixtab.

(also assuming you were wanting to have a look at it yourself or even modify your smartphone (if you have one))
@KNC I hadn't heard anything like that about Android, I'd be interested to read up on it. Especially as they are still taking more and more of the market share from crApple if the figures I've seen are correct. Plus what with an Android based games console having recently been released (I'm interested as to how that one pans out) it would appear far from on it's deathbed to me, plus there are new phones being added to their line up all the time. (Droid Maxx with 2 others announced by Motorola today as an example)
