I wish they would bring it back, too. I miss it. Yes, the Aura doesn't seem to need it, in that it doesn't have the uneven lighting at the bottom of the screen; presumably, future Kobos won't need it, too. So, I don't mind if the default is off -- but I do wish they'd bring it back for us Glo users.
