I dropped my Kindle! :(

Hi all,

After two faithful years by my side, I've dropped my Kindle Keyboard on the ground. Not only did I break the official case, but the Kindle itself seems to have some sort of internal damage. I didn't buy extended warranty with my original purchase.

So, I'm in the market for a new reader. I have no brand-loyalty and no issues with which format my books need to be in. However, I enjoy simplicity. I don't care about rooting, hacking, fonts, decals or any of the likes - I just want to be able to ignore the fact that I'm holding a device, and sink into my story.

Thus, finger print magnets are a no-no (so I'm tentatively ruling out the Paperwhite). I have no strong feelings one way or the other about front-lighting, as I'll turn it off when I use the device. (I've played with a friend's Kobo Glo and another friend's Kindle Paperwhite - the light goes off immediately or they look horrible to me). I just want something incredibly basic.

I'm thinking about a Kobo Touch or a basic Kindle. Any opinions as to which I should choose?
