Yeah, but there was a "mini-boom" in science fiction magazines in 1977. Cosmos got started -- it was a great magazine, but doomed by its financing plan -- it only lasted 4 issues. Galileo came out -- it was pretty good, but low-budget, and only ran for a little more than 2 years. And Unearth -- a digest-sized magazine, but it struggled to get shelf space -- it ran for about 2 years.

Still, it was a good time to be a reader.
