Nice one, AB. The Verso reminds me of the
vintage covers for the Kindle 2 and
3 by Octovo (my favorites for those models) spliced with an
Oberon journal sleeve.
The trickiest thing about the Aura seems to be the back (which has the texture of Duchamp's "Nude Descending a Staircase"), so I'd imagine the ideal generic cover for it might have a layer of
memory foam (cf.
this homely case for the iPad) on the inside of the back piece. I wonder how difficult that would be to implement.
I like your small battery idea. Do you travel with your Aura and, if so, has your battery mod been stable?

Supposedly 6-inch, but the Aura fits well, although the on/off button and USB port are less easily accessible.
Put a small and thin battery in the pocket and it even works as a sleep cover!
Still, a bit expensive. |
