Blossom, I haven't bought that book, but I have similar problem with another book I purchased around 10 days back from Amazon (azw3 file cleaned in Calibre). It doesn't make all my books disappear from PW, it's there, but when I try to open it, PW restarts and tells me something like "cannot open this app" Anyway, deleting it, converting to azw3 in Calibre and putting on PW did the trick.
