Atunah, you're welcome. I actually read the first one a long time ago and remember liking it so I eventually will get to the others[Blood Like Poison trilogy]. And I agree, I used to fall for $.99 deals way too quickly. And as I found last week, a deal is only a deal if the book is good. I read 3, make that 'DNF' 3, last week that had all been $.99 [bought a long time ago] and just were not worth it at all. So far my sticking to the 'it has to be rated over 4 at Goodreads' has helped a lot [since I implemented it, for me it has served well]. Hence why I only succumbed to the 2 I did today [both were rated over 4, the others I had looked at were not so I just passed]
