looking for a new title
I'm putting together a second collection of fairy tales - estimated release is around Christmas, but I want to give my artist plenty of time because while he is very good, he's also very slow because he's so busy.
So far I've got four stories (there will be 6 if ever I get over this writer's block) - One is my gargoyles story, Heart of Rock, which has 3 chapters and is about 4000 words long. One story is a re-telling of the Tam Lin story (sort of), so I've got two classic fairy tales, and the other two (hypothetical at this point) stories will also be fairy tales.
The other two stories are different. One, The Snarls, is a short-short and deals with the problems of combing hair. the other, Bridge of Seven Stones, is about 3500 words, and deals with the changes that happen as a child loses a tooth and grows adult ones. These aren't exactly bedtime stories, like the other four are.
My two current working titles are: Heart of Rock and Other Stories, or Dreams and Me: Tall Tales and First Times . I'm not thrilled with either title.
the title of the first collection is Dragons and Dreams, which is why I have the Dreams title, to play off that (no dragons so far in the second collection).
Any suggestions?
