What formats do the publishers send you? If it's a PDF, is it one where the text is centered in the middle of the page, there are corner registration marks, and several inches of white space on each page?
Some of the Hugo Award nominee publishers do this and I hate it because they are not readable on my Nook. The full page shrinks the text to a size that is unreadable, and when I increase the font size so that it is readable, the formatting is lost and the book becomes unreadable again.
