And apparently few copyright holders are thinking that offering them at $12 is going to generate enough profit to make it worthwhile. Like most commercial enterprise, it is a gamble, a risk as to the consumer's response to any offering. I think there are plenty of proven goodies that are out of print but still under copyright that would be profitable at $12 an ebook, some like a "Dorsi Omnibus" should be very profitable.
