New Vampire Diaries novelette, "Witch Trapped," now available for 99 cents!
This spring, Amazon Publishing contracted me to write a Vampire Diaries tie-in novelette to help them launch their new Kindle Worlds project, which went live a couple weeks ago.

I love the TV show and watched the entire first season in about five days until I found an "entry point" -- a place where I could set a new story that worked within the existing series plot, but didn't mess up any future logic. And since I figured other authors who were also invited to help with the launch would be writing stories about the Elena-Damon-Stephan love triangle, I focused my story on Bonnie -- the fledgling teen witch. Anyone familiar with my work knows I've always been fascinated with more occult/dark magic themes, so I had a blast with this. The story deals with what happens to Bonnie after her grandmother dies following their joint spellcasting to release vampires trapped for over a century beneath an old church.

It's called Witch Trapped, and I hope Vampire Diaries fans (and even non-Vampire Diaries fans!) will enjoy it!
