Because there really are people out there who will say 'Try the Broccoli Diet! I did and lost 273k by eating nothing but broccoli!' What tt doesn't say is that they died three weeks after the posting from a lack of amino acids or electrolyte imbalance.

Everything is bad for you when taken to excess. Even water. The key to better health, in my not so humble opinion is "moderation in all things, including moderation." McDonald's Big Mac is not bad for you if you only eat one or two a month. Neither is fried chicken, Hershey Bars, or tequila. But if you eat them every day, you're gonna die a grim and grisly death!

Science is constantly changing our views of various foods and their impact on the body. At one time, the American Medical Society said that there was absolutely no need for Vitamin A in the human diet. Obviously they changed their minds on that one. "Butter is bad for you, so eat margarine instead!" We heard that one for years. Now we know that better is better for your health than margarine... provided you use it in small amounts. Too much is no good.

Eat a balanced diet (and this doesn't mean balanced every day... the body can easily tolerate balance over a week or two...) of veggies of all colors, fruits, meats, fish, and poultry, and you will be nutritionally healthy. Do keep in mind that even healthy people die...
