This is an Android thing, not Nook. My phone does the same thing only there's a hack that will allow me to install to the SD card. Of course it only works with apps that WILL install to the external memory. Like none of the Google apps will, or the built-in apps of course. The hack won't work on the Nook because you have to "enable debugging mode". It's in the settings of Android, but Nook hides that setting and I haven't been able to figure it out yet.
