Well, I'm glad I found this thread, because I think it answers my question about using magnets to hook my Kindle into my zipper cover.
The cover I purchased has a pocket on the back side. I slipped a piece of flashing in there, and stuck a couple of 1/16 inch thick magnets on it to see if they would stick.. They do, quite well.
So, I'm thinking of gluing two or three of them to the gray portion of the back of the Kindle. My thought is that that part of the case would be easier to clean up or replace if I decided to remove them at some later date.
These aren't the strongest magnets in the world or anything ... about 3.1 pounds of pull force per magnet. But, I'm thinking it might be a good way to go, and shouldn't damage my Kindle.
Any thoughts??
