BEST System to do this....
All I want.... ha , all...
is to read my books in a format, through an app/ program, on a device where I can highlight and make notes as I go along in different colours (though I don't need to annotate) and then to export them in the colours i highlighted them in.
Atm I have an iPad and i really like the iBooks interface and the way it highlights/ exports. But using iBooks is like a one way street and I can't then view the highlights/ notes in any other program, let alone edit them.
I'd love to be able to view/ (re)edit highlights/ notes again on the desktop (a mac).
The best solution I know so far would be to convert my library to pdf and use PDF Expert. But I don't know if the exported highlights are exported in their colours (i.e. attached)
I also don't know how editable the pdf file is (the highlights and notes) then in Mac Preview.
It's annoying that there's no trial with PDF Expert, because i do want to test it out.
But also I'm aware that using PDF Expert is essentially locking yourself down to Mac ad infitum.
I would pay probably up to £50 for a life subscription to a multiplatform reader, which just reads my library from Dropbox and allows all of this functioning.
