Both p-books and e-books are very highly priced in Australia. It would be possible for me to buy a new copy of the new translation of Buddenbrooks, but the price is too high for me, especially for something I may or may not enjoy all that much.
It was different when I was working, but now I'm retired I have to think a bit more about where I spend my "entertainment dollar".
