I swear to you, when I tried at first, that same link did a DIRECT download of the sample file and there was just no way I could find to get to that "purchase" page, including directly searching for Thoreau on the LOL site. Every link just downloaded the sample.

Ditto! I tried several times as well and had the same result. It is working now and allowed me to "purchase" the book.
