This is an argument for buying the US version of the PRS-505, since it can buy from Sony or Waterstones (right?), although it opens up other hassles for non-US owners.

The LIT approach is very easy for Windows PC owners, and you can buy UK ebooks if you want, e.g. WHSmith eBookShop sells Adobe PDF (readable on the PRS-505) and LIT and MOBI (both can be converted to work on the PRS-505). However, US ebooks are typically cheaper. When Adobe PDF and LIT are offered, I suggest buying the LIT because it reflows better on the PRS-505.
