Why not try impserve which is part of ebookutils and is hosted at http://ebookutils.berlios.de ?

I myself have not yet tried impserve with Windows Vista, so hopefully, I'm not complicating mattters by giving you this (alternative) solution!


EDIT: I have now verified that impserve works well using Vista to retrieve .imp from here or elsewhere on the internet (where?). I installed Mobi2IMP and PDFRead, but could not convert (yet) any .prc/.pdf from links on webpages. I tested this on my wife's (new) laptop, but have not been able to figure out why the .prc conversions facilitated by the PrcConverter.py plugin, don't work. I think it's a directory/batch file location issue. (I'm just learning how to cope with Vista's nuances!!!!!!) More investigating is required, however, when the wife is shopping...
