I think it's a mistake to assume that people who say they don't re-read have never, ever given it a shot before. I kept trying to re-read some of my favorite books from time to time, but the "pleasure" and "enjoyment" others have attributed to the practice almost never seemed to manifest itself in my experience. So I quit trying to re-read for the most part. I still have a crack at it every now and again, to see if I've developed a knack for it -- because I'd frankly like to enjoy my favorite books more than once. But alas... no dice. Can't stay focused (and I refuse to skim).

And to those who are waiting: I wouldn't hold my breath for a 2014 release of Rothfuss' latest installment.
