Just tested: Opening /mnt/onboard/.kobo/koreader/data/cr3.ini and setting

crengine.display.inverse=0

to

Code:

crengine.display.inverse=1

inverts the screen to a nice nightreading mode. This only affects the book itself, not the menu or the file-manager.
