Hi from Australia.

Hi all, SouthernSun here - I'm an Australian working as a nurse and studying beauty therapy (that's makeup, hair removal, relaxation massage, nail treatments and spa treatments). I'm a reading enthusiast and I've had my Kindle Keyboard since August '11. I was never planning on getting an e-reader, until that fateful day when I discovered Project Gutenberg and received an Amazon gift voucher from a family member within hours of each other. I like to tell myself that it was a clear sign!

I still read paper books far more often than ebooks, but my Kindle has served me well over the time that I've had it, providing me with endless public domain texts, Kindle singles and the occasional book that I would have purchased in paper, had I not received an Amazon gift voucher - the shipping cost for a boxfull of books to Australia is just exorbitant, so it's almost always cheaper to buy e-books!
