That is too much work! Seriously I applaud your organizational skills. I agree whatever works best for you is the best way to do it. It's taken me a few years to get mine where it is now. So if you are new to this be patient it takes time to find the right system that works with your habits.

I do have a non calibre digital library but it's the final versions move to Dropbox so I can access them anywhere.

I keep a backup copy of Calibre (10GB) on Dropbox as well but I would never put my main Calibre library on there due to sharing violations that can occur and I don't mean the kind where they removes your books because of copyright. It's a technical term that basically means the hard drive and windows gets confused and you can lose data.
