Just finished "Poirot Investigates"; Agatha Christie's 5th book, and the third Poirot book. This is a collection of short stories, all of which I enjoyed. All feature Poirot's "sidekick", Captain Hastings, and many also involve Inspector Japp of Scotland Yard. Very enjoyable - this would be an excellent introduction to Hercule Poirot if you've not read any Poirot books before.
