Sure, but as a rule of thumb I don't find it unreasonable to rule somebody out if they are slow in replying for whatever reason. If they can't be bothered/don't find the time/lose their emails/have a too efficient junk mail control
before they even sell me anything, I'd worry about what kind of support they are going to provide
after I've paid my money, should anything go wrong.
Regardless of this, and whether or not you feel it reasonable, it is obvious that this vendor's strategy hasn't paid off, as they've surely lost (at least) one customer!
