Unfortunately, this is sometimes a sign that you are attempting to process an ebook that is corrupted. If you copied over a large number of ebooks, it becomes fun trying to locate the corrupted file.

Have you tried a pinhole reset? And if so, does your Kobo start up, go back to processing and hang again? In that case, you may want to do a factory reset. After the factory reset, you can try loading your books in small batches to locate the one(s) that are causing issues.

Another possibility is that your battery was not fully charged and you may want to connect it to the computer or a wall charger to charge for a couple of hours before trying the reset and/or factory reset.
