I have Calibre version 0.9.37 on my laptop.
Content Server 192.168.10.19 Port 808
Wireless Device 192.168.10.19 Port 9090
Device IP 192.168.10.22
Firewall allows Calibre. I have a VPN and it is turned off. IP provider is Cytanet.
Is there anything I have missed? Regards, Pat

1) What operating system are you running on your laptop?
2) What anti-virus/security suite are you running on your laptop?
3) What company makes your home wifi router/hub?
4) Using Chrome (internet browser) on your N7, connect to
http://192.168.10.19:808/ What happens? (BTW: did you mean port 8080?) This test takes CC out of the picture, testing basic connectivity. If your N7 does not connect and show the "home page" of your calibre library then something on your network or on your laptop is blocking connections between your device and your laptop. Nothing will work until you find that block. Assuming you have not "rooted" your N7, the likely candidates are (in order of likelihood based on our experience): firewall on laptop, anti-virus on laptop, router-enforced LAN security.
5) If the connection experiment in step 4 works, then making a calibre debug log might help. Follow the directions in
this FAQ answer.
