I must respectfully disagree. I've converted literally
hundreds of ePub books to KF8 and the overwhelming majority convert flawlessly.
Amazon may be many things, but nobody's ever accused them of not having a sound business head on their shoulders. Adopting the ePub format would be an idiotic thing for them to do. It'll never happen.
